Together with 29 other associations, APPLiA has co-signed a joint letter calling on the European Commission to revise paragraph f) bis of Appendix C — a provision that could risk overlapping obligations, overlooking legal distinctions between substances, mixtures and articles, and could compromise confidential business information across supply chains.
To make the Taxonomy more practical and workable for industry, the joint letter recommends:
* Avoiding duplication with existing chemical regulations* Safeguarding confidential business information across the supply chain* Respecting legal distinctions between substances, mixtures and articles* Supporting a framework that empowers companies to report clearly and efficiently
This is a crucial step to make the EU Taxonomy a tool that truly supports industries driving the transition.
