Ahead of the High-Level Dialogue on Energy Efficiency hosted by Commissioner Dan Jørgensen, 22 organisations – including APPLiA, the voice of Europe’s home appliance industry, – have come together to issue a joint call for action.
The statement outlines five key priorities to reinforce the role of energy efficiency in achieving Europe’s competitiveness, energy affordability, and climate goals. These include establishing a stable, long-term policy framework; simplifying access to EU funding and private finance; addressing workforce and skills gaps; accelerating electrification and demand-side solutions; and supporting EU-based manufacturing of energy efficiency technologies.
By ensuring the right enabling conditions are in place, the signatories underline their commitment to further scale up investments, innovation, and delivery across the sector. The joint statement also calls for regular, structured engagement between EU institutions, industry, civil society, and national and local authorities to ensure effective implementation of these priorities.
