Code of conduct for F-Gases

With this initiative, APPLiA members aspire to contribute to improving WEEE treatment by encouraging the on-going productive dialogue with recyclers, providing them with useful information and indications on the future needs of recycling technologies, while sending a positive signal to the market.

The identification is placed on the back of heat pump tumble dryers, washing machines, washer dryers and dishwashers containing F-gases and provides key information on critical materials in products. The markings better enable visual identification for the sorting of certain types of large appliances for proper treatment, provide forward indications of future recycling technology needs, and support the appropriate safety and security of recycling plants and workers.
