Joint industry statement to remove EU-US trade tariffs

Today APPLiA co-signed a joint statement along with 86 trade associations urging the European Commission and Delegation of the European Union to the United States to permanently remove EU-US tariffs on steel and aluminium.

After a temporary suspension in 2021, European industry could now possibly face a reimposition of the duties as from June 2026, if an agreement is not reached. This would severely damage the sector and create significant barriers to trade.
